About Funtopia Youth Initiative Foundation
Funtopia Youth Initiative Foundation is committed to developing innovative ways to keep our youth stimulated in positive activities. Our mission is to develop children and youth through engaging educational activities and the art of stilt walking. The primary focus is afterschool programs where we develop cultural awareness of the Moko Jumbie African culture. In addition, we host various events and programs that support community at large and the most vulnerable children. Our plan is to spread cultural awareness, build confidence through skill development and have fun through the arts. We have opportunities for volunteers to support our events and after school programs where appropriate. Your support through volunteer time, used athletic shoes (for the stilts), wood and hardware for the making of the stilts. We also require support with costuming, stage management, choreography, dance, drama, and a broad variety of entertainment skills and creative talents.
