Summary
Facilitate recreational activities for children ages 5-12 at Salvation Army Kids Club.Detailed description
The Salvation Army is located in a neighborhood with many children whose families recently relocated to St. Maarten from the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, and Haiti. Kids Club is offered on Friday afternoons from 3-5 PM in the AUC-sponsored playground.
A team of four AUC students will facilitate physical fitness, art and health literacy activities for children at the Kids Club twice a month (rotating), as the academic schedule allows.
Transportation, snacks for the children and supplies is provided by AUC.
